San Marino
A residential city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It was incorporated on April 25, 1913. As of the 2010 census the population was 13,147. The city is one of the wealthiest places in the nation in terms of household income. San Marino is one of the most expensive and exclusive neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area.
Pasadena
It is the most populous city and the primary cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley. Its population was 138,699 at the 2020 census, making it the 44th largest city in California and the ninth-largest city in Los Angeles County. Pasadena is known for hosting the annual Rose Bowl Football game and Tournament of Roses Parade. It is also home to many scientific, educational, and cultural institutions, including Caltech, Pasadena City College, Fuller Theological Seminary, ArtCenter College of Design, the Pasadena Playhouse, the Ambassador Auditorium, the Norton Simon Museum, and the USC Pacific Asia Museum, with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in nearby La Cañada Flintridge.
South Pasadena
It is located in the West San Gabriel Valley, and as of the 2010 census, it had a population of 25,619. It is 3.42 square miles and lies between the much larger city of Pasadena, of which it was once a part, and the metropolis of Los Angeles. South Pasadena is the oldest self-builder of floats in the historic Tournament of Roses Parade.
San Gabriel
At the 2010 census, the population was 39,718. San Gabriel was founded by the Spanish in 1771, when Mission San Gabriel Arcángel was established by Saint Junípero Serra. Through the Spanish and Mexican periods, San Gabriel played an important role in the development of Los Angeles and Californio society. Owing to the prominence of Mission San Gabriel in the region's history, it is often called the "birthplace of the Los Angeles region".
Alhambra
Located in the western San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 82,868.
Temple City
A city in Los Angeles County, California located northeast of downtown Los Angeles and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. Temple City is part of a cluster of cities, along with Pasadena, Arcadia, Alhambra, San Marino, and San Gabriel, in the west San Gabriel Valley.
Temple City was ranked as the 5th safest city to live in California.
Arcadia
Located about 13 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. It contains a series of adjacent parks consisting of the Santa Anita Park racetrack, the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, and Arcadia County Park. The city had a population of 56,364 at the 2010 census.
Monrovia
Located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in the San Gabriel Valley. The population was 37,931 at the 2020 census. Monrovia has been used for filming TV shows, movies and commercials.
La Cañada Flintridge
Commonly known simply as La Cañada (Spanish for 'The Canyon'), is a city in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains in Los Angeles County, California. Located in the Crescenta Valley, in the western edge of Southern California's San Gabriel Valley, it is the home of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Altadena
in the Verdugo Mountains region of Los Angeles County, California and directly north of the city of Pasadena, California. The population was 42,777 at the 2010 census.
Sierra Madre
City in Los Angeles County, California, whose population was 10,917 at the 2010 U.S. Census. The city is in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley below the southern edge of the Angeles National Forest. Pasadena and Altadena are to its west, with Arcadia to its south and east. Sierra Madre is known as "Wisteria City", and its city seal is decorated with a drawing of the now widely known 500-foot vine. It is also called the "Village of the Foothills" and was an All-America City in 2007.
Bradbury
Located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, Bradbury is bordered by the city of Monrovia to the west and south, and Duarte to the south and east. The population was 1,048 at the 2010 census. The city has three distinct areas—the Bradbury Estates, which is a gated community consisting of 5-acre minimum estates; Woodlyn Lane, which is also a gated community with minimum 2-acre lots; and the balance of the city, which is not gated, which has lots generally ranging in size from 7,500 sq. ft. to 1-acre. A significant portion of the properties in Bradbury Estates and Woodlyn Lane are zoned for horses, and several horse ranches still exist within these communities today.
